Granules India, NIPER partner to set up CoE

City-based pharmaceutical company, Granules India and National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Mohali Chandigarh, on Sunday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish Dr Chigurupati Centre of Excellence in Innovative and Sustainable Pharmaceutical Development (CCE-ISPD).
The centre will focus on exploring plant-based excipients, advancement in polymer-free pharmaceutical formulations, innovative methods in producing directly compressible crystals, promotion of solvent-free pharmaceutical processes, and the development of resource-efficient and energy-efficient pharmaceutical products. Dr Krishna Prasad Chigurupati, Chairman and Managing Director, Granules India Limited, said: “This partnership signifies a shared vision. The CCE-ISPD is a testament to our dedication to sustainable pharmaceutical development.”
